Jiaen YuI am a third year PhD student in the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute (HDSI) at University of California San Diego. I work in the Data-Driven Learning Lab (DDL-Lab) under the supervision of Dr. Soohyun Nam Liao. My research interests lie at the intersection of educational data mining and human-centered systems, especially how Generative AI can reshape and support student learning in computing education. Before I join HDSI, I obtained an M.S. in Computer Science from CSE department of UCSD, and B.S. in Electronic Information Science & Technology from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.
